ROCK FALLS – Montmorency Superintendent John Rosenberry will retire at the end of this school year, he told the school board Wednesday night.

Rosenberry, who has spent nearly 30 years in education, has been the Montmorency superintendent since 2006.

“... the time has come to spend it with my lovely wife and to enjoy my grandchildren,” he wrote in a letter to the board.

Rosenberry will retire after July 30, he wrote in the letter.

Rosenberry and the board plan to discuss their next steps while they are away at the annual state school administrators and school board conference in Chicago this weekend.
