The Dixon Dukes used a strong, balanced effort to take all 10 points in a NIB-12 match at Plum Hollow on Thursday, beating LaSalle-Peru 3,549-3,189 thanks to three 600+ series.
Lucas Bonnette’s 639 series inlcuded three 200+ games, while Connor Allen had a 628 series and a 246 high game. Ryan Dixon finished at 626, with a 226 high game as Dixon won all three games handily.
Oregon 3,471, Rockford Christian 3,128: The Hawks took all seven points at The Cherry Bowl, with Tyler Lathrop and Brandon Taylor leading the way with 600+ series.
Lathrop rolled a 644, highlighted by games of 231 and 255. Taylor had a 612, with high games of 232 and 224. Mark Schmidt added a 570 series and a 226 high game for Oregon (6-2).
Sterling 3,071, LaSalle-Peru 2,758: The Golden Warriors won all 10 points in a NIB-12 match at Blackhawk Lanes, moving their record to 3-1 and giving them 28 points in the conference.
Brandy Behrens rolled a match-high 583 series, and led Sterling with a 218 series. Amber Granzow added a 521 series, and Samantha Lewis and Destinee Howard each had a 511 series.
Morris 3,341, Dixon 3,308: The Duchesses were ahead by 5 pins heading into the final game, but the Redskins rolled an 1,156 to Dixon’s 1,118 in a NIB-12 match at Echo Lanes.
The Duchesses won only the second game, scoring just two of the meet’s 10 points. Emily Quaco led all bowlers with a 670 series, including a 268 high game, and Autumn Day had the match’s second-best score with a 614 series (233 high game).
Rockford Christian 2,583, Oregon 2,234: The Hawks lost all three games at The Cherry Bowl, led by Karissa Corbin’s 529 series and 223 high game.
Geneseo 56, Dixon 10: The Dukes won three weights and gave up five forfeits in a NIB-12 loss on the road.
Kylian Lally won by major decision at 138 pounds for the Dukes, while Jacob Johnson (113) and Connor Sperling (182) added decision victories.
Comets split in Camanche: Newman traveled into Iowa for a triangular, beating Fulton 38-12 and falling to the host Indians 39-30.
Only two Comets won two contested matches: Jake Snow had a pair of pins at 120 pounds, and Brandon Ahlgrim won by pin and major decision at 132.
In the other match, Camanche defeated Fulton 33-27. Steven Balk was the lone double-winner for the Steamers, recording two pins at heavyweight.
Panthers win twice in Polo: Erie-Prophetstown swept a triangular on the road, beating Riverdale 51-26 and the host Marcos 64-12.
Winners of two contested matches for the Panthers were Josh Wheeler (132 pounds), Dylan Binion (152), Seth Montgomery (160) and Johnathon Butts (195). Wheeler and Montgomery each recorded a pair of pins.
Polo fell 39-20 to Riverdale in the third match. Jesse Ditzler (126) and Ethan Cain (145) won two contested matches for the Marcos.
Thunder roll in Oregon: West Carroll won a pair of duals at the Blackhawk Center, beating the host Hawks 46-26 and downing Rockridge 54-30.
Zach Hartman (132 pounds) and Cody Yenney (152) both won two matches by pin for the Thunder, while Morgan Hartman (145) and Brandon Anderson (220) also won two contested matches.
Oregon defeated Rockridge 39-36 in the night’s other dual. Joey Diehl (182) and John Brink (195) both won twice, and Brink recorded two pins.
