The Chicago Cubs and pitcher Carlos Villanueva agreed to terms on a two-year contract Saturday.
Villanueva spent the last two seasons with the Toronto Blue Jays, pitching to a 7-7 record with a 4.16 ERA in 38 games (16 starts) in 2012.

Major League Baseball is imposing a rule, to take affect this season, that pitchers who fake a throw to third base and then throw to another base will be charged with a balk, according to the New York Times.
Bulls fall flat in third, lose to Wizards
The Chicago Bulls were outscored 23-11 in the third period of an 86-73 loss to the Wizards on Saturday in Washington.
Emeka Okafor had 15 points and 16 rebounds for the Wizards. Nate Robinson scored 19 for the Bulls.
Simeon holds off Young in showdown
Simeon, ranked second in the nation, edged top-ranked Young 44-41 on Saturday at Chicago State University.
