Police: Sterling man sold crack cocaine

ROCK FALLS – A Sterling man remained behind bars Friday after his arrest in a drug investigation that, police say, dates back to October.

Robert T. McCloud, 49, is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and delivery of a controlled substance, both felonies, according to a Rock Falls Police news release.

Police say McCloud sold crack cocaine on several occasions.

Police reported they had been investigating several people, including McCloud, since October. More arrests are expected, according to the release.

McCloud was in Whiteside County Jail on $50,000 bond. He has a March 7 court date.
