Larry E. Gann

SAVANNA – Larry E. Gann, 72, formerly of Mount Morris, died Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Big Meadows Nursing Home in Savanna. He was employed by the Belvidere Chrysler assembly plant for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

Larry was born Oct. 11, 1940, in Freeport, the son of Walter and Lota (Osborne) Gann. He married Esther Wiersema on April 29, 1974, in Rockford.

Survivors include his wife of Fulton; one daughter, Margaret (Kerry) Wiersema of Clinton, Iowa; two sisters, Judy (Max) Snook of Polo and Deborah (David) Flannery of Rock Falls; one brother, Steven Gann of Mount Morris; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday and the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at McDonald Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. Rick Koch of Dutchtown Church of the Brethren in Milledgeville officiating.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Dutchtown Church of the Brethren and Big Meadows Nursing Home.
