DAVENPORT, Iowa – Rick D. Cady, 57, of Davenport, Iowa, formerly of Tipton, Iowa, died Saturday, June 8, 2013.

Rick was born March 12, 1956, in Sterling. He was the son of Arlyn Stanley and Frances Lucille (Carlson) Cady. He was a 1974 graduate of Tampico High School. Rick was united in marriage to Shelley Dawn Deerberg on Sept. 26, 1987, in Prophetstown; they later divorced. He was owner-operator of Cady Inc. Rick was a member of Tipton Golf & Country Club, Tipton Fire Department, and the Loyal Order of the Moose.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Cady and Andrea Cady, both of Tipton, Catrina Cady of Clearwater, Fla., and their mother, Shelley Cady, also of Tipton; grandchildren, Trinzel Lewis and Asanté Hannah of Clearwater; father, Arlyn Cady of Prophetstown; sisters, Ronna (Mike) Sobottka of Walnut and Renee (Bob) Andrews of Sterling; and brother, Randy (Denise) Cady of Yorktown.

He was preceded in death by his mother on Nov. 20, 2011.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fry Funeral Home in Tipton, Iowa. Visitation also will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and the funeral at 11 a.m. Thursday at Edwards Congregational Church in Davenport, Iowa, with the Rev. Katherine Mulhern and Rev. David Lorenzen officiating.

A general memorial fund has been established.
