Published: Thursday, June 13, 2013 11:31 p.m. CDT

Mackenzie Kavanaugh (left), 14, and Ashley Knopp, 14, both of Dixon, let their hair fly as they ride the Sizzler Thursday evening at Polo’s Town and Country Days. The festival, which offers a carnival, beer garden, live music, a craft show, a parade, a pig scramble, and loads of other free entertainment, runs downtown through Sunday. Today is Kid’s Day. Noyz Boyz and Country Line Live band perform tonight, and radio hosts Dwyer & Michaels entertain the crowd Saturday. The grand parade at 12:30 p.m., followed by the pig scramble at 3 p.m., are Sunday’s highlights. Carnival armbands are $20, good for noon to 5 p.m. today or Sunday. Go to www.polodays.org or call Jon Miller at 815-973-3507 for a complete schedule or more information.
