Local Girl Scouts to host autism awareness event

STERLING – Girl Scout troops 198, 5347 and 5220 will host an Autism Awareness Halloween Fun Fair from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Northland Mall.

Admission is free and residents are encouraged to wear a Halloween costume.

There will be 12 carnival games, a bake sale, and pin and bows available for purchase, said Troop Leader Kerrie Winge.

At each of the carnival games, there will be an informational poster about autism, she added. Three tickets for the games will cost $1.

The fair will be held in front of Bergner’s and Maurices.
