No coincidence that churches were spared
Our governor enacted the law legalizing same-sex marriage just days after the Illinois Senate paved the way for it by putting it in front of him. Join me in praying for them, even more than for our state – they shoulder a lot when they meet the true lawmaker.
Anybody ready for the winter weather and the finishing touches to the Illinois economy? I read, “... be still and know that I am God.” It’s not that I’m a sodomite basher or that I disbelieve their biblical perspective (if they have any) of God’s recorded view on marriage; it’s just that I fear a real, living and holy God.
I find it very real that in the history of recording tornado warnings, there were 192 in November, and 101 of them were recorded Nov. 17. From the end of Chicago through mid-state and south, a total of 15 tornadoes.
You’ve seen news videos and prize-winning YouTube videos and are amazed, saddened and stunned as much as those who survived. Maybe you don’t see or hear God in any of this, but how many times did you hear “Oh my God” or as in one, a man reciting the Our Father prayer? Almost everyone that I watched did.
I’m just a simple man who believes in a God who means what he says, and says what he means, and has proved it enough times that I don’t need to debate it.
What’s this got to do with anything? you say. It doesn’t have to end badly for everyone. Jesus Christ saved individuals one at a time, and it can happen again.
Read Romans 10:9 and 10:13. How about you? Do you believe in chance? Ask all the survivors who were in the undamaged churches when it passed by them. Coincidence, right?
