Pilot sustains minor injuries in Forreston crash

FORRESTON – A 75-year-old pilot sustained minor injuries when the engine on his single-engine plane failed and he crashed near North Cherry Road and state Route 72 around 2:40 p.m. Saturday, the Ogle County Sheriff’s Department told WTVO.

No one was available to provide further information Saturday afternoon, a dispatcher said, adding that a news release was in the works.
