Eleanor J. Douglas

MORRISON – Eleanor J. Douglas, 93, of Morrison, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Morrison. She was a homemaker.

Eleanor was born April 20, 1920, in Morrison, the daughter of John and Zada (Humphrey) Bruins. She married Floyd F. Douglas on Oct. 30, 1947, in Morrison. He preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1988. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Fulton.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Terry) Jensen of Albany; one son, Roy Marvin Douglas of Geneseo; four grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by two sisters, Verdella Bruins and Shirley Bruins; and two brothers, Albert and Norman Bruins.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home in Morrison. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Blake Severson, pastor of Fulton Presbyterian Church, officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison.

A memorial has been established.
