MILLEDGEVILLE – 4-H Clothing Judging will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the exhibit building, for all county members enrolled in clothing, knitting, and crocheting projects.
Project check-in is from 6 to 6:15 p.m. The style show and dress revue will follow the judging.
Clothing project members also will present a style show at 2 p.m. Aug. 2 in the hospitality tent.
4-H’ers and families will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday to sweep out the 4-H exhibit building, setup the risers, and get the rest of the building and the ice cream stand ready for the fair.
Push brooms, hammers, rags, buckets, cleaning supplies, ladders, and cordless drills are needed. Pizza and drink will be furnished for all workers by the 4-H Federation.

The Carroll County Fair will be Aug. 2-9 at the fairgrounds.
Exhibits on general projects, home furnishings, child care, beef breeding, beef bucket calf, beef feeding, beef carcass class, cat, rabbit, poultry, sheep, goat, horse and pony, and swine will be judged.
Public Auction Services of Polo will conduct a 4-H livestock and small animal auction at 7 p.m. Aug. 5 in the poultry barn, with Lenny Bryson, auctioneer.
The 4-H and Carroll County Livestock Feeders Association will have a hamburger meal deal from 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 3 in the 4-H Building.
To celebrate extension’s 100th anniversary, the cost will be $3 for a hamburger, chips, cookie bar, and water.
The anniversary display, 4-H Foundation display, 4-H exhibits, and Master Gardener display will be in the building to view.
The 4-H Federation ice cream stand, under the grandstand, will offer soft-serve ice cream, sundaes, and flurries.
A silent auction will be held in the 4-H building during the fair.
Themed baskets will be available for bids. They include movie night, outdoor fun, summer nights, baby basket, health and fitness, horse, and scrapbooking.
Silent auction bids will be taken until 6 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 4-H Building. Winning baskets can be picked up from 6 to 8 p.m. that night.
All proceeds from the auction will go to the Carroll County 4-H Federation for educational programs, scholarships to leadership conferences, and 4-H promotion.
The public is welcome to all events.
