Donahue is the daughter of Francis “Chip” and Kathie Donahue of Sterling. She has received the Jade Garza Art Scholarship for the past 2 years through Woodlawn Arts Academy in Sterling, and was picked to take part in the Student Development Program at YMCA Camp Benson in Mount Carroll.

She will appear this summer and fall at local events to raise awareness in teens that community volunteering can provide leadership, organizational skills, and confidence to meet challenges.
