Pro golfers to help at fundraiser

SPRINGFIELD – Girl Scouts of Central Illinois will sponsor the first Legacy for Leadership Golf Outing Sept. 25 at Piper Glen Golf Club, 7112 Piper Glen Drive.

A clinic will be at 10 a.m., with lunch at 11:30 a.m. The outing will begin with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. and a reception will follow from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Four Ladies Professional Golf Association golfers will participate in events.

Individual playing positions are $250, and include admission to all activities. Tickets for the clinic and luncheon, as well as reception-only tickets are $50. Sponsorships are available.

Proceeds will benefit GCSI, which includes Bureau County.
